KYKP Studio Etiquette

Punctuality.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to class. Please arrive no less than 5 minutes before class in respect for your fellow yogis, and so you can have time to relax. If you are new to the studio please arrive 15 minutes early so we have time to introduce you to the space.

Dryness.

We ask that you help wipe up your hard-earned sweat after class, to help keep the studio floors dry and safe.

Presence.

In order for your practice to build your mind’s strength, please remain in the room for the entirety of class until the instructor has offered a final “Namaste” and left the room at the end.

Silence.

We carry on a rare tradition of a silent studio, with no whispering, to allow us a chance to be together in a space that is not filled with speaking.

Supplies.

KYKP has mat and towels for rent. If you bike or walk to the studio, mat and towel is on us!

Matilda.

Our studio dog, Matilda, would love to play ball with you - but no petting please! She was rescued so the world is safest for her if she can be apart of it all without the fear of being touched.

Barefeet.

The entire studio is barefoot, including the backrooms; your shoes and belongings will be locked up safely in the lobby once class begins.

Health.

If you are sick, do not practice. Please stay home while we send our wishes of good health to you.

Welcome.

All are welcome at our studio, and we look forward to meeting you!
